Bing Digital is celebrating a prestigious award from the Interactive Media Awards (IMA) with its Emporium MultiVendor e-commerce site for Wealden Fairs labelled ‘Best In Class’.
Since 2007, Wealden Times Ltd. have operated a bi-annual fair in June and November selling contemporary and vintage homewares, garden accessories, fashion and jewellery as well as artisan produced food and drink.
The continued success of these offline events encouraged Wealden Times Ltd. to branch out online and increase the exposure of their brand and services to a global marketplace, with the ability to buy online 365 days a year.
Bing Digital was chosen to recreate the same user experience online as their fantastic offline events and subsequently developed a unique design for the customer-facing site to be in keeping with all of these points.
The back-end system was powered by Emporium MultiVendor, which is a hugely powerful e-commerce platform, and enabled the agency to deliver a vendor-driven site that could be managed by the vendors quickly and efficiently.
Coupled with a brand-led front-end design, the site was deployed and it is easy to see why it curried favour with the IMA judging panel who hailed from the likes of New York Times, Microsoft and The Food Network.
