We’ve been made aware of a scam targeting individuals with fraudulent job offers falsely claiming to come from Bing Digital. These scams are part of a wider online campaign that uses our brand name and reputation to lure people into parting with personal information and, in some cases, cryptocurrency.
What’s Happening?
Scammers are reaching out to people via email, messaging apps, and job platforms pretending to be representatives of Bing Digital. They often use convincing language, fake job titles, and forged documents to appear legitimate.
Once initial contact is made, the victim is directed to an unofficial website—in particular, bingdigital-en.com
—where they are asked to go through an onboarding process. In many cases, this process includes requests for payment in cryptocurrency, which is a major red flag and something we would never do under any circumstances.
What You Need to Know
To be absolutely clear:
- We are not currently hiring through any third-party platforms or cold outreach.
- We will never ask anyone to pay for employment, training, or onboarding.
- We do not accept or request payments in cryptocurrency—ever.
- All official communication from our team will come from an @bingdigital.com email address.
Why This Matters
Bing Digital is a well-established digital agency with over 25 years in business. Unfortunately, scammers often exploit reputable companies like ours to give their cons an air of legitimacy. These activities not only harm individuals but also damage trust in the wider digital ecosystem.
What To Do If You’re Contacted
If you have received a message, email, or job offer that seems suspicious:
- Do not engage further or send any money.
- Do not click on links or download attachments from unverified sources.
- Take a screenshot and forward the information to hello@bingdigital.com so we can investigate.
We are actively working with our legal and cyber security teams to pursue takedowns and report the fraudulent domains involved.
Staying Safe Online
Scams like this are increasingly sophisticated. Always be cautious when dealing with unsolicited messages—especially those asking for payment or personal details. If something feels off, trust your instincts and verify before you act.
If you’re ever unsure about a communication or website using the Bing Digital name, please reach out directly to us via hello@bingdigital.com or visit our verified site: https://www.bingdigital.com.
Thank you for your vigilance and support.
